PLEASE NOTE: Have your reliable third party complete the Emotional Support Animal Request Form 2018-2019 form found at excellence.eckerd.edu under the "Students and Animals" tab. This form is required for review of an Emotional Support Animal request. Once the form has been completed, upload it on this request form.
Students must receive an Emotional Support Animal designation from Accessible Education services prior to bringing an animal to campus.
Eckerd College does not guarantee a particular kind of specific residence hall, nor does it guarantee rooms or roommates. And it reserves the right to assign or reassign residents to other rooms and halls in the best interest of the individual resident and the residential community, or to make the most effective and efficient use of the available space. If you currently reside in a animal free residence hall, please contact Housing at housing@eckerd.edu to discuss your options.
Eckerd College and Pet Life have behavioral expectations of your assistance animal. Your Emotional Support Animal must be:
- Housebroken
- In owner’s control
- Follow local laws, e.g. vaccines
- Not pose any safety or health risk to others
When approval is granted it is good for only one year. You must reapply each year for approval.
